About the Role
We're looking for a highly detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our Finance team. You'll lead critical accounting processes for our Mexican entity, while supporting U.S. entities with accurate records, tax compliance, and consolidated financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Mexico Entity – Primary Focus:
- Prepare account reconciliations and workpapers for audits and internal reports.
- Create AP layouts and record inventory POs.
- Register invoices from national and international vendors.
- Ensure CFDIs and foreign invoices meet tax deduction requirements.
- Apply payments and process corporate card expenses (Jeeves, Si Vale).
- Validate invoices monthly using the SAT 69B list.
- Support SAT responses, including cartas invitación and desk audits.
U.S. Entities – Secondary Focus:
- Record revenues, expenses, and capital contributions.
- Analyze FX impact for consolidated financial statements.
- Support intercompany and capital transactions.
Operational & Cross-Support:
- Provide reporting and audit documentation to the Finance team.
- Help streamline processes using Excel, Google Suite, and automation tools.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or related).
- Valid professional license in Mexico (Cédula profesional).
- 5+ years of experience in general accounting, tax, and monthly close.
- Strong knowledge of NIF and IFRS.
- Skilled in CFDI review, tax informatives (DIOT), and electronic accounting.
- Hands-on experience with SAT audits and requirements.
- Advanced in SAP Business One, Hanna, or Complement One.
- Proficient in Excel (macros, VBA), Google Suite, Power BI, Slack & AI tools.
Nice to Have
- IMCP or CPA certification.
- Knowledge of U.S. GAAP or working with U.S. entities.
- FX and consolidation experience.
