We are looking for a Logistics Strategy Engineer who will report to the Logistics Strategy team lead. In this position you will be contributing to the growth of the organization by developing engineering analysis, cost estimations, and proposing proactive and innovative solutions to provide clarity and orientation to our stakeholders for decision making regarding investment for future projects.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations/logistics management, or other relevant fields.
Five (5)+ years of experience in manufacturing, warehouse management, logistics, supply chain management or consulting, or a relevant field.
Excellent leadership, collaboration and communication skills.
Full working proficiency in Spanish and English (written and spoken), French and Vitnamese is an asset.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND CERTIFICATIONS
Comfortable working with problem solving under unclear scenarios.
Critical and impartial thinking.
“Go getter” spirit and passion to deliver projects with huge proportions.
Open minded and resilient, working well with project or guidance change.
Strong knowledge Office suite.
Strong Knowledge on Simulation Modeling (e.g., AnyLogic, Arena, Simul8) ( must)
Knowledge of Programming (e.g., Java, Python, R, MATLAB)
Knowledge of AutoCAD and Catia is nice to have.
Self motivated, autonomous and structured.
Willingness to travel on occasion (3 to 4 times per year).
PRINCIPAL TASKS AND RESPONSABILITIES
Contribute to business cases creation; calculating logistics requirements, estimating costs and developing logistics layouts.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary and multilevel teams across BRP to gather information, make analysis and propose solutions to ensure strong business cases.
Lead Simulation Model Development: Create and validate simulation models that represent production and operational processes.
Use simulation models to identify problem areas limiting operation capacity.
Provide recommendations based on data analysis and simulations to optimize system performance.
Work with launch and operations teams to implement improvements and adjustments based on simulation findings.
Prepare and present reports on simulation results and recommendations to management and other stakeholders.
Lead multidisciplinary and multilevel workshops to build business case scenarios and lean manufacturing sessions “kaizen”.
Promote creative environments with collaborative teams, bringing out of the box ideas and proposals.
Prepare and organize files and presentations of business cases.
Follow up established tools and processes of the Logistics Strategy team.
Create strong partnership with driven collaborators from multidisciplinary and multicultural teams established across the world.
