EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant

NextGen Teachers are currently seeking a passionate and committed EYFS SEN TA to join a specialist provision in LS8. As an EYFS SEN TA, You will work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to support the learning, development, and well being of children in the Early Years Foundation Stage, with a particular focus on pupils with SEN, including those with communication difficulties, developmental delays, or sensory needs.

• Provide 1:1 or small group support for children with additional needs
• Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and support strategies
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN specialists, and external agencies
• Encourage and develop communication, social, and motor skills
• Create a nurturing, safe, and inclusive learning environment
• Support personal care routines where needed

• Experience working with young children, especially those with SEN
• A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Teaching Support
• A caring, patient, and flexible approach
• Good understanding of EYFS curriculum and child development
• Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection
• An Enhanced Child and Adult DBS on the update service (or willingness to complete one)
• The right to work in the UK
• Two professional references
