As Demand Planner you will play a key role for Leading the Sales operation planning – Demand Review pillar to create an unbiased demand plan with the highest accuracy possible in the division of Consumer Business Group. In this role you will be able to collaborate with functional teams across America, position is located in México and provide support to Mexico and South America.
The impact you will make in this role
Lead the Sales Operation Planning – Demand Review pillar at region level (Mexico and South America).
Generate an unbiased Demand plan and align to the sale business plan (Operating Plan). Maintaining data integrity in the demand planning system SAP, Local systems.
Address actions to close gaps between Demand plan and Sales plan. Supports Business Group and LSS initiatives through data analytics and continuous process improvement.
Aligning the business portfolio strategy with the demand plan through the “Portfolio Review process” (new products, end of life, and phase-in / phase-out).
Collaborating with business finance and sales managers to get current sales goals (OP/QOR/MRE) and sales reductions (MDF, Rebates, etc.). Supports the Supply and Production Planning organization through key inputs for development of inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs.
Collaborating, gathering, analysing and agreeing market intelligence to the demand plan. (Market intelligence may come from CPFR, Sales, Marketing and other sources.)
Managing the demand planning of the seasonal items, in & out, incremental sales (Building blocks) based on a 12-month rolling calendar e.g. (Back to school, Christmas, cleaning fairs)
Leveraging forecast performance metrics tools to measure accuracy (WAPA/WAPE), assess the quality and frequency of overrides, assess forecast BIAS, and identify and address the largest sources of forecast error, also managing demand planning exceptions.
Maximize the effectiveness of the statistical forecast by adjusting/cleansing historical demand and determining appropriate levels of aggregation for calculating the statistical forecast.
Collaborating with customer service, supply planning and other sources to gather data and updating regional reports related to WAPA, Fill Rate, OTIF and Non-working inventory and proposing actions to improve or reduce risk.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited university.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Demand Planning.
Fluent English in both oral and written.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Supply Chain, Transportation & Logistics, Customer Service, Finance and/or Marketing.
Experience in the Supply Chain, Marketing, Finance, Customer Service Departments.
Experience in Consumer Packaging Goods companies, Retail dynamics, Business to business/consumer.
Knowledge in SAP, Power Bi, Excel, Minitab (office environment).
Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, teamwork and self-motivational skills.
Knowledge of Supply Planning (SP), Production Planning (PP), and/or Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes // Sales and operation Planning (S&OP).
High analytical skills and knowledge of (SAP, Excel, Minitab, etc.)
Experience working on cross-functional and international teams.
APICS (American Production and Inventory Control Society) certification // IBF Advance Forecaster.
Experience representing the supply chain organization on business teams.
Experience utilizing LSS methodologies.
