Role: QA AutomationLocation Requirement: Guadalajara, Hybrid.
What Does success mean in this role? 5–7 years of professional experience in software QA, including both manual and automation testingProficiency with test automation tools: Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or TestCafeExperience testing REST APIs using Postman, Swagger, or similar frameworksStrong understanding of QA methodologies, test planning, test case design, and defect lifecycleExperience with CI/CD tools and workflows (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools like Jira, TestRail, ZephyrWorking knowledge of JavaScript, Python, Java, or similar scripting/programming languages used in test automationExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (both written and verbal)Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced agile environment
Daily Activities: Design, develop, and execute comprehensive manual and automated test cases for web and backend applicationsCreate and maintain automation test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or TestCafeTest and validate REST APIs using tools like Postman, Swagger, or custom automation frameworksParticipate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and release activities to ensure quality is embedded throughout the development lifecycleDocument defects clearly and track them through resolution using tools such as JiraCollaborate closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to understand features and technical implementationIntegrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CIMaintain and improve test plans, test cases, and documentation using test management tools such as TestRail or Zephyr
