Responsibilities:
The Opportunity
The Maintenance Technician will provide technical expertise in the fields of electrical, mechanical, and controls to the Maintenance team, while also supporting Research and Development product development initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Maintain a variety of food processing and facility-related equipment,Support the Food Safety program, including compliance with American Institute of Baking (AIB) and Food Safety System Certification (FSSC) 22000 standards Collaborate with teams on site audits related to Safety, Food Safety, and Environmental programs.
Your Impact
As R&D Region Technician your activities would consist of
Execute preventive and corrective maintenance, to ensure the equipment’s availability and reliability for operations.- Accountable for the operation and maintenance of the utility rooms including, air compressors, steam generator, electrical substations, cold rooms and water cistern.
- Provide skilled diagnostic testing and repair for pilot plant facility, including modifications, minor installation and replacements.
- Designated Electrical Duty Holder – Pilot Plant Area
- Strong technical support regarding electrical and mechanical design to process engineers while planning and executing capital projects to ensure compliance with current standards.
- Accountable for Contractor Management & Permit To Work.
- Support to onsite EHS (EHS18-Maintenance) and Food Safety (AIB-Maintenance) programs to ensure a safe working environment and regulatory compliance.
Who Are We Looking For?
- High School Diploma Required
-
2+ years of experience in a manufacturing/production environment
- Ability to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair food processing and site infrastructure equipment – mechanical, electrical skills and knowledge of instrumentation are required.
- Basic Troubleshooting Experience on Plant IT Network.

In addition to electrical skills, good mechanical, instrumentation Knowledge is required. The following are essential to ensure that equipment is available as required for site operations:
o Intermediate Knowledge of AB PLC
o Knowledge of Pressure Transmitters
o knowledge of Flow Transmitters
o Advance knowledge of Temperature Transmitters and other Instrumentation. - Qualified in electrical test and inspection.
- Licensed for Mobile Platforms, Working at Heights, Confined Spaces and Pressurized Equipment. (DC-3)
- Language: Spanish
