Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive IT Support Specialist to provide technical assistance, maintain computer systems, and support our employees. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Microsoft operating systems, proficiency in Microsoft Suite and Google Workspace apps, and some programming skills to enhance system efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist employees with troubleshooting and resolving computer issues, including hardware, software, and network problems.
- Maintain and support Microsoft Windows operating systems to ensure computers function reliably.
- Provide support for Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Google Workspace apps (Sheets, Docs, Drive).
- Install, configure, and update software, hardware, and peripherals as needed.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls for company systems.
- Monitor and maintain network connectivity, including Wi-Fi and LAN systems.
- Implement basic cybersecurity measures to protect company data and systems.
- Document IT processes and create user guides for common troubleshooting steps.
- (Preferred) Use programming skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell, or similar) to automate repetitive tasks or improve system functionality.
- Collaborate with vendors for advanced technical support or equipment procurement.
Experiencia y requisitos
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1+ years of experience in IT support or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Drive).
- Basic programming or scripting skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell, or similar) to support automation or system enhancements.
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and basic network issues.
- Excellent communication skills to assist non-technical employees effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Nice-to-Have
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional, or Google IT Support.
- Experience with cloud-based tools or ERP systems used in manufacturing.
- Familiarity with basic cybersecurity practices or tools (e.g., antivirus, firewalls).
- Knowledge of apparel industry-specific software or inventory systems.
