A Day in Your Life at MKS:
As an Indirect/MRO buyer at MKS, you will partner with Internal customers (ex. Program Manager, Engineering, Corporate, NPI team, etc.) to create Purchase Orders according business needs. In this role, you will report to the Procurement Supervisor.
This position will require travel between 15% and 30% of the time and a valid passport and visa.
You Will Make an Impact By:
Responsible for obtaining materials, components and equipment
Gathers quotations, examines bids, and makes awards
Determines material requirements form engineering and production schedules, and maintains inventory at planned levels
Plans, schedules and monitors for the movement of materials through the production cycle
Evaluates vendor reliability, develops new supply sources where vendors and suppliers are inadequate
Skills You Bring:
Fluency in both English and Spanish language
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and good written and oral communication skills
CPIM and/or APICS certification preferred
1+ years of related experience
Must be able to exchange accurate information
The ability to observe documents and details at close range (within a few feet of the observer)
Operates in a professional office and/or manufacturing environment
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery
Noise level in the work environment is usually average
