We are seeking a motivated and skilled Google Cloud Enablement Engineer to support the optimization, performance, and automation of cloud environments in a virtualized, on-demand infrastructure. This role is pivotal in enabling modern, scalable, and resilient cloud operations. You will collaborate with development, security, compliance, and operations teams to promote best practices in automation, orchestration, and CI/CD.
Assignments in this role are varied and often require interpretation, independent decision-making, and technical judgment to identify and implement the appropriate course of action.
Key Responsibilities:
Utilize tools to manage and monitor networks, systems, and applications to ensure performance and availability in cloud environments.
Automate the provisioning of cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform required).
Promote DevSecOps culture by facilitating collaboration between development, security, compliance, QA, monitoring, and production teams.
Optimize and lead improvements in the release process, enabling more frequent and reliable code deployments.
Partner with application teams to guide and support their cloud infrastructure needs.
Orchestrate and troubleshoot issues during cloud migrations.
Identify opportunities to enhance existing automation and deployment processes.
Conduct infrastructure deployment and improvement activities across the application landscape.
Continuously evaluate and implement infrastructure automation opportunities to improve scalability and reliability.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
3+ years of experience in IT management, cloud services administration, DevOps engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience with Terraform (required).
Proficiency with cloud services such as storage, databases, and networking.
Familiarity with Kubernetes and security best practices (e.g., network policies, RBAC, secrets management).
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
Knowledge of version control systems like Git.
Experience automating deployment pipelines and integrating them with Kubernetes.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
Google Cloud Platform (GCP) experience is a plus.
Demonstrated ability to work independently in complex and ambiguous technical environments.
