Team Overview:

Our Safety Team is seeking a highly skilled and proactive professional to oversee global insurance management for the ride-hailing and food delivery sectors, with coverage spanning Latin American countries, Australia, Egypt, and other regions. This role will work in close collaboration with the Global Insurance Sr. Manager.

Role Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities

  • Insurance Program Oversight
Collaborate with business stakeholders, brokers, advisors, and insurance providers to structure and manage insurance arrangements. Lead the renewal process to ensure programs are both cost-effective and aligned with the company’s operational requirements, risk profile, and strategic objectives.

  • Advisory and Compliance
Provide expert recommendations and guidance to senior leadership and business units regarding insurance requirements, policy wordings, product selection, and premium structures. Monitor and identify exposure changes, either at renewal or mid-term, ensuring coverage remains current and compliant with agreed processes and applicable legislation, including the Insurance Act.

  • Budget and Financial Management
Manage the insurance cost budget, ensuring accurate allocation of premiums in accordance with financial management protocols. Support the negotiation of contractual insurance obligations to ensure adequate protection is in place for all business activities.

  • Claims Management and Loss Control
Oversee the claims process, ensuring all incidents are promptly identified, reported, and supported with the necessary documentation. Manage claims within deductibles as well as those with the greatest potential impact. Conduct loss ratio analysis, identify critical causes of loss, and recommend risk management improvements to reduce exposure to property, personnel, and third-party liabilities.

  • Policy Development and Risk Mitigation
Partner with the business to design and implement policies, procedures, and programs that enhance risk management from an insurance perspective. Explore opportunities to leverage automation, IT, and technological solutions for portfolio and claims management.

  • Stakeholder Engagement
Serve as the primary point of contact for insurance-related matters, liaising with providers, intermediaries, and internal teams. Collaborate cross-functionally with department leaders to define priorities, set project timelines, and assign responsibilities to ensure timely delivery of objectives.

Role Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience in global insurance management, ideally within the ride-hailing, mobility, or food delivery industries, covering multiple regions.

  • Proven expertise in managing insurance renewals, negotiating coverage terms, and ensuring compliance with international regulations such as the Insurance Act.

  • Strong background in claims management, including handling high-impact claims, loss ratio analysis, and risk mitigation strategies.

  • Solid knowledge of insurance policy wordings, premium structures, and market trends.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with senior leadership, brokers, advisors, and insurance providers to deliver cost-effective and compliant insurance programs.

  • Experience developing and implementing policies, procedures, and technological solutions to optimize insurance portfolio and claims management.

  • Excellent analytical skills to assess exposures, identify risk drivers, and recommend improvement measures.

  • Strong project management capabilities, including setting deadlines, prioritizing initiatives, and coordinating cross-functional teams.

  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills in multicultural and multi-market environments.
