Responsibilities:
The HR Director will serve as the HR site leader at our largest manufacturing facility in Juarez, Mexico and support global operational functions. The Director will be an effective change agent and transformative leader who works positively to engage the workforce at all levels within the facility. This person will be an expert at driving engagement and efficiencies in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, as well as someone who is agile, and able to deal with ambiguity while translating complex issues into clear and coherent solutions. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping and implementing HR strategies, managing employee relations, ensuring compliance with local regulations and partnering across other HRBP’s and broader HR functional areas.

This position reports to the Sr Director, HRBP and is located onsite at the Juarez, Mexico facility (Open to candidates living in El Paso, TX).
The HR Director will serve as the HR site leader at our largest manufacturing facility in Juarez, Mexico and support global operational functions. The Director will be an effective change agent and transformative leader who works positively to engage the workforce at all levels within the facility. This person will be an expert at driving engagement and efficiencies in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, as well as someone who is agile, and able to deal with ambiguity while translating complex issues into clear and coherent solutions. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping and implementing HR strategies, managing employee relations, ensuring compliance with local regulations and partnering across other HRBP’s and broader HR functional areas.
The Director will champion a culture of continuous improvement, transformation and engagement by collaborating with local and executive leadership to develop and deploy HR solutions that enable business strategy and objectives.- Provide full scope HR Business Partner support for business leaders.
- Partners within HR function to solve business needs and deliver elegant solutions.
- Leads and develops the local onsite HR team in a results-driven, high performing team environment.
- Participates in local union negotiations and labor agreements as a subject matter expert.
- Serves as a subject matter expert in local talent, compensation and benefits to represent the needs of our teammates in Mexico while leveraging the Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, and Total Rewards teams as needed.
- Partner with facility and senior level leadership to understand current and future staffing needs to develop strategic workforce plans.
- Analyzes trends and metrics, seeking opportunities and strategies to improve trends in turnover, retention and key indicators of teammate engagement.
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risk, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with legal as needed/required.
- Execute performance management initiatives, including scorecard development, goal setting, driving performance review cycles, and managing PIPs.
- Manage and resolve employee relations issues and conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations working closely with key stakeholders.
- Identify and address talent and organizational-related opportunities and challenges, ensuring that our teams have the right talent and capabilities to achieve their objectives.
- Support organizational design efficiency and alignment of talent; challenge organizational structure based on internal/external benchmarking; facilitate restructure plans as appropriate.
- Foster an inclusive, equitable and diverse work environment.
University degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience, required.
Advanced/graduate degree, preferred.
- BA/BS Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or directly related discipline, preferred.
- 15+ years of leadership experience in Human Resources, including experience supporting a large manufacturing/plant environment and global professional client group or combination of education and experience.
- Extensive knowledge of Mexican labor laws and related regulations
- Bilingual (English and Spanish), required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Spanish and English.
- Highly Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Able to manage workflow, with minimal oversight, in a fast-paced, frugal environment with multiple and sometimes changing priorities.
- Decision making / complex problem solving - demonstrates problem solving and analytical capability; proactively gathers the right data from appropriate sources; conducts root cause analysis; refers to long term plans and goals; acts decisively, promptly and confidently; complex analysis.
- Proven ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and make best use of limited resources.
- Successful record of building and improving operational processes and procedures, ability to drive program efficiency and high levels of customer satisfaction.
