We are currently seeking a Corporate & Product PR Manager who will lead the development and execution of a focused corporate communications strategy for Mexico and drive strategy, planning and execution of major product PR programs and initiatives for the country. This is first and foremost a senior strategy and media relations role. You will drive communication plans and be hands on, working day-to-day to engage with local journalists and creators, spotlighting Apple’s story, values, impact and products and bringing them to life through feature stories that showcase their benefits to consumers and businesses.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading activities with media and content creators in Mexico to help manage the company’s corporate reputation in the country and communicate Apple’s local contribution. The role requires an ability to think strategically and to execute activations with a high attention to detail, along with a proven ability to anticipate, manage, and mitigate PR issues while working closely with local and global teams. This is both a corporate and product communications role: the candidate will lead communications for Apple Watch and our Audio products in Mexico, helping show how Apple Watch empowers people to take control of their health and wellness, supports athletes in reaching new goals, and keeps users connected and safe, while our Audio products such as AirPods deliver immersive, high-fidelity sound that elevates music, film, and gaming experiences and enable effortless communication. You will help devise and execute global communications initiatives that resonate with the local audience as well as create and bring to life local corporate and product communications strategies. Responsibilities will include strategic planning and execution, identifying and managing issues in a fast-paced environment and continuous news cycle. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the wider management team in the region and also be tightly coordinating with worldwide PR teams. You will help us establish, expand and build meaningful connections for Apple to amplify corporate and product storytelling to journalists, creators, and local and regional communities. You will play an instrumental role in influencing, developing, and driving launch and momentum campaigns to ensure maximum awareness and coverage in Mexico. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a variety of other teams and functions to create and deliver the initiatives that increase awareness and understanding of Apple and how the company is a force for good. This may include the Product PR team, Product Marketing and Marcom teams as well as Government Affairs, Retail and Legal teams across the organization. Possess expert knowledge of competitive products and keep your team at WW up to date on what's going on in your market. Manage and respond to day-to-day press inquiries and ensure our regular media and creator contacts are kept up to speed on the latest Apple news. Minimum Qualifications
- 8+ years' experience in public relations, in house or in an agency setting.
- Experience in media relations and a strong network of media and influencer contacts in tech, lifestyle, policy, environment and sustainability spaces.
- Proficiency in English and Spanish.
- Ability to travel up to 40%.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in media relations and have developed a network of media contacts in creative, tech, design and cultural platforms.
- Successfully delivered corporate and consumer PR campaigns that have created meaningful impact.
- Self-motivated, possess a positive team-player attitude and passionate about consumer technology. Self-starter who is dedicated and demonstrates creative and critical thinking abilities.
- Excellent communications skills.
- Able to work with ambiguity and on complex topics across multiple jurisdictions. Skilled in multi-tasking, delivering under tight timelines, adapting quickly to change.
- Effectively builds formal and informal relationship networks inside and outside the organization.
- Develops and delivers effective communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.
