Job Summary:
The Commercial Coordinator will be responsible for most, if not all aspects of Cost Estimating.
Major Accountabilities:
- Responsible to prepare customer submission forms and packages that represent commercial agreements to the company.
- Responsible to monitor and keep tracking of commercial achievements of the group.
- Support commercial managers when needed to satisfy customer requirements
- Work closely with Sales, Engineering, Technical GroupsManufacturing Division(s) to develop the best plan for the company and the best sales strategy to present to our customer.
- Initiate and implement continuous improvement suggestions
- Required to work extra hours and travel to meet Customer needs
- Abide by all Company polices including, but not limited to the following: Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Systems, Human Resources policies, and the Martinrea Employee Handbook
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of related experience in costing, quoting and negotiating within an automotive or related manufacturing industry.
- Degree in Business or Engineering / Diploma in related areas
- Good understanding of price negotiation stages and strategy development
- Past experience dealing with different OEM's (Ford, FCA, Nissan, GM, etc)
- Good understanding of price negotiation stages and strategy development
- Knowledge of Program Quoting using Quote Models (converting costs to customer quote breakdowns)
- Good understanding of shop practices, procedures and working knowledge of all phases of product manufacturing and assembly
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good organizational, interpersonal and problem solving skills
- Advanced computer proficiency (Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point)
Work Conditions:
- 90% office,10% plant floor (PPE required)
