WAREHOUSE TEAM LEADER
IMPACT and OPPORTUNITY
Coordinate internal and external warehouse operations, ensuring all activities are executed in compliance with safety procedures. Guarantee timely and accurate material supply to production lines, meeting required quality and quantity standards to maintain inventory reliability. Evaluate team performance regularly and drive continuous improvement across warehouse processes.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide high-level administrative support to General Management and key staff members.
- Coordinate staff birthday celebrations and other internal recognition efforts.
- Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Maintain and organize confidential files for Management and Staff.
- Serve as the primary coordinator for meeting room scheduling and logistics.
- Execute special projects assigned by General Management.
- Coordinate visitor logistics, including hotel and transportation arrangements.
- Manage national and international travel arrangements for employees, including flight, hotel, and car reservations.
- Assign company vehicles to visiting personnel as needed.
- Provide traveling employees with an authorized expense guide for review and acknowledgment.
- Coordinate meals for visitors, training sessions, and internal or external company events.
- Make restaurant reservations for business dinners with visitors.
- Draft and send official letters to hotels with which the company has agreements (Acuña/Celaya).
- Prepare travel advances for employees and ensure appropriate authorization signatures.
- Review and verify employee expense reports (USD/MXN).
- Collect necessary documentation for international visa applications (e.g., China, Vietnam, Ukraine).
- Submit check requests for visa-related payments.
- Prepare invitation letters for visitors and for visa processing.
- Take and distribute meeting minutes for monthly Management meetings.
- Provide support to Human Resources in preparing purchase orders through Onventis.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience as a Warehouse Team Leader or similar role, managing large teams (50+ hourly employees).
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop operational teams, including personnel with limited technical or procedural mindset.
- Hands-on experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, and material flow to production lines.
- Strong conflict resolution and team management skills, with a results-oriented and disciplined leadership style.
- High resilience and adaptability to high-pressure environments and demanding workloads.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and familiarity with ERP/WMS systems.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills across functional areas.
- Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement mindset.
- Fully bilingual in English and Spanish (written and spoken).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience in automotive or manufacturing industry environments with complex logistics operations.
- Proven track record of leading high-turnover teams while maintaining discipline, productivity, and engagement.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement tools applied in warehouse settings.
- Experience managing cross-functional coordination between warehouse, production, and planning teams.
- Strong analytical skills for problem-solving, root cause identification, and process optimization.
- Familiarity with inventory audits, cycle counts, and physical inventory procedures.
- Ability to train, coach, and upskill team members with limited technical background.
- Experience working in multi-shift and rotating schedule environments, adapting to business needs.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, demanding and dynamic environments with minimal supervision.
