We are looking for a seasoned Agilist with deep, hands-on experience in Agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, Lean, and especially SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework). This role is instrumental in leading the modernization of a statement product, transitioning from a legacy platform to open systems. The selected candidate will coach and support two Agile teams—one of which is offshore—ensuring alignment, collaboration, and high-quality delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Agile Coaching & Team Support:
Provide coaching and guidance to two Agile teams (including an offshore team) to ensure continuity in dependency management, resolution of blockers, and adherence to Agile principles. Foster a culture of continuous improvement. As team structures evolve, this role may take on support for a third team.Modernization Leadership:
Lead the modernization of a core statement product, ensuring a smooth transition from legacy applications to modern, open systems architecture.Technical & Data Fluency:
Demonstrate strong technical acumen and understanding of data flows, including tracing data from source to destination. Understand batch process timings, error handling, development cycles, and integration with modern systems or APIs.Dependency & Risk Management:
Proactively identify and manage complex dependencies and risks. Ensure timely follow-ups and mitigation strategies are in place to avoid project delays.Stakeholder Communication:
Translate and clearly communicate current-to-future state use cases to business stakeholders. Bridge the gap between business needs and technical delivery by maintaining effective collaboration with technical leads.Facilitation & Negotiation:
Lead discussions, negotiate priorities, and navigate challenging interpersonal dynamics to drive alignment across teams and stakeholders.Process Improvement:
Challenge the status quo, identify inefficiencies or bottlenecks, and implement enhancements for more effective delivery.Proactive Problem-Solving:
Take initiative in identifying issues and proposing practical solutions to ensure smooth project execution.Collaboration & Leadership:
Create a collaborative working environment across both onshore and offshore teams to ensure successful execution and delivery of goals.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as an Agilist with deep knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, Lean, and especially SAFe.
Strong technical understanding of system architectures and end-to-end data flows.
Experience leading modernization efforts, particularly transitioning from legacy to open systems.
Excellent facilitation, negotiation, and communication skills.
Ability to proactively manage complex dependencies and risks.
Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts in business terms.
A proactive and improvement-oriented mindset.
Capable of managing strong personalities and fostering collaboration in challenging environments.
Experience working with distributed and offshore teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the financial services industry or similar environments.
Background in data-centric systems or initiatives.
SAFe or other Agile certifications are a strong plus.
