A Day In The Life:
As a Tax Compliance Coordinator, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring L’Oréal’s adherence to tax laws and regulations across the Latin American Zone. Reporting to the regional finance team, you’ll collaborate with internal teams (Accounts Payable, Payroll, etc.) and external advisors to maintain tax integrity, mitigate risks, and support financial transparency.
Here’s what your day-to-day will look like:
- Tax Return Preparation & Submission: Prepare and assist in filing corporate income tax, VAT/GST, sales tax, and withholding tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Data Collection & Reconciliation: Gather financial data, perform reconciliations, and maintain organized records for tax filings.
- Tax Research & Analysis: Stay updated on tax law changes, research tax issues, and assess implications for business activities.
- Audit Support: Assist in tax audits by providing documentation and analysis to tax authorities or auditors.
- Process Improvement & Compliance: Streamline tax processes, maintain compliance calendars, and ensure adherence to internal controls.
- Inter-departmental Coordination: Collaborate with departments like Legal, Treasury, and Payroll to ensure proper tax treatment of transactions.
You’ll thrive in this role if you have:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in tax compliance or accounting (2-4 years).
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Fluency in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
- Experience in shared services centers or regional/international environments.
