Joining the Planning team means helping develop, improve, and endorse Micron's Long-Term Operational Plan and Product Portfolio Strategy. This entails coordinating meaningful strategic assumptions such as Wafer Fabrication capacity ramp and corridor sizing, Technology Roadmap and Product Placement, Assembly & Test Loading, Customer and Operation Geographic Sensitivities, and Micron as well as Strategies for Business Expansion. You will also handle product network mapping across the manufacturing network and represent Global Operations within Micron’s Product Lifecycle Management process.
You will collaborate with individuals in Corporate Strategy, Fab Central Planning, Assembly Test Central Planning, Technology Innovation, Technical Departments, Sales and Operations Planning, Business Departments, Product Management, and Finance to advance these strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct data analysis to support strategy development including supply coverage for new product introductions, demand coverage to consume technology transitions, recommendations to ensure operationally robust portfolios that can withstand demand, supply, and geopolitical changes in monthly operations planning process.
- Conduct analysis comparing efficiency and flexibility of the product range and offer recommendations for product roadmap suggestions
- Explore trends or patterns in data, including Yield, Ramp profile, Product and Customer Qualifications for DRAM and NAND technologies and product solutions to drive future roadmap and operations strategies.
- Perform data analysis and provide recommendations for manufacturing site strategy on Technology and Product Portfolio Management decisions.
- Maintain existing operations and business models and support crafting new operation models and data analytics to drive making strategic decisions and alignment of key initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in semiconductor environment.
- Proven track record to contribute to strategic teams and influence decisions using a variety of approaches.
- Strong communication abilities and problem-solving skills guided by a rational thinking approach. Excellent facilitation and issue resolution skills; ability to drive consensus.
- Ability to critically think and break down large concepts or ambiguous information into small deliverables while maintaining overall strategic focus; diligent with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work under continual deadline constraints and ability to prioritize work and manage by exception.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes, memory business, competition and products will be a plus.
- Proficient in improving processes, tools, reporting, and communications to meet business goals.
- Ability to participate as a team-member as well as a leader in a fast paced, global team-oriented environment.
- Knowledge of supply chain concepts, planning systems, and strategies / Knowledge of intermediate data analysis skills including excel, tableau
- Expertise in improving operational efficiency for procedures, resources, analytics, and messaging to achieve business goals.
