Safety Specialist
What You Will Do
Implement and supervise the compliance with safety and hygiene policies and regulations at the distribution center.
Conduct periodic inspections and internal audits.
Coordinate training programs on safety, use of PPE, load handling, and first aid.
Road map implementation and contributes and supports reapplication of Best Practices
Leads working sessions on Machine Safety Risk Assessment, Isolation of Hazardous Energy, ladders-steps-stairs
Leads reapplication through plants network and creates an environment where Health Checks ensures sustainability of results and uses internal and external benchmarks to drive performance improvement.
Design and maintain emergency response protocols, including drills and evacuation plans.
Prepare reports and keep updated records.
Represent the center before authorities and external suppliers.
Support area managers and encourage staff participation in safety programs.
Who You Are
Education: Industrial, Environmental, Safety and Hygiene Engineering or related field.
With degree and professional license. Minimum of 2 years of experience in similar roles in logistics, manufacturing, or distribution centers.
Solid knowledge of STPS regulations, safety and hygiene regulations, civil protection, and risk analysis methodologies.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). Intermediate-advanced English (reading technical manuals, communication with suppliers or corporate).
Certifications such as DC-3, First Aid, Civil Protection, ISO are desirable. Availability to respond to emergencies outside of working hours.
