General Activities:
The Project Director will have overall responsibility for the success of the project. This includes overseeing project planning, execution, and delivery to ensure alignment with business objectives and customer satisfaction. The role will require strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and the management of relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
Pre-sales :
Accompany Business Manager during their prospection meetings
Anticipate, collect, understand and analyse customer needs
Take part in the process of internal review of the Request For Proposal (GO/NOGO)
Write the technical part of the offer
Estimate costs (human and material)
Prepare the oral presentation
Identify productivity drivers
Project Portfolio Delivery :
Validate staffing/unstaffing
Validate the delivery slips and the reception reports
Construction claims and change requests
Prepare and lead monthly steering committees
Ensure compliance with projects financial objectives
Manage the optimisation plan for project margins and productivity
Ensure the project financial reporting and contribute to arbitrations relating the Delivery
Be the customer privileged interlocutor on technical aspects
Can take direct management of complex projects
Be the quality deployment and compliance with ALTEN standards guarantor
Control the operational and financial management tools
Enforce the behavioral rules in terms of quality, health, safety and environment defined by the Group and recommended by the customer.
Team Management :
Manage the project team: resources and skills allocated to the project
Coordinate Project Leaders and Team Leaders
Be the manager of one or more Project Leader (HR, carreer interviews, …)
Pass on knowledge and ensure skills development
Other activities :
Participate or manager transversal projects in order to improve the Technical Direction or the Group
Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in project management, with a strong background in managing large-scale projects.
- Experience in leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification preferred.
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment and manage competing priorities.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written) is required.
