What You'll Do?
As a Production Group Leader , you will be responsible for optimizing the use of personnel, materials, and equipment to meet production goals. You will lead and support the development of highly effective teams, ensure quality standards are met, and promote a safe and productive work environment. You will also play a key role in implementing lean manufacturing principles and supporting launch and pilot activities.
Responsibilities
Lead and support Global Manufacturing Systems (GMS) implementation and maintenance.
Train, develop, and evaluate hourly team members.
Provide feedback to improve Group Leader performance.
Respond to Andon calls and escalate issues as needed.
Participate in throughput improvement processes (TIP).
Develop onboarding training plans for new Group Leaders.
Manage headcount and plan weekend activities and resource allocation.
Recognize and reward employee contributions.
Review and update Standardized Work (STS).
Follow up on action plans from layered audit findings.
Ensure production schedules and product requirements are met.
Promote ergonomic, health, safety, and housekeeping objectives.
Build strong relationships with employees, union representatives, and management.
Administer National and Local Agreements with the United Auto Workers Union.
Solve quality issues and communicate department quality goals.

Shift Schedule: 4x3 (100% on-site work)
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineer, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, and all Engineering related or related experience.
1-2 years of experience in any related field
English intermediate/advanced
Available to change shifts (4x3)
Knowledge of Global Manufacturing Systems (GMS), Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
Experience managing unionized personnel.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in developing salaried personnel.
Familiarity with GMS and other manufacturing systems.
Ability to coach, mentor, and counsel team leaders.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
