What You’ll Do:
- Maintain our database of vendors, keeping accurate records on current contacts.
- Source new vendors for purchasing and installations based on our client’s needs.
- Identify potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish relationships to secure the best deals and quality products/services.
- Maintain relationships with existing Vendors and Subcontractors
- Negotiate fair and competitive prices on any materials that we purchase.
- Coordinate smooth production and freight from purchasing to receipt of materials.
- Oversee the logistics of importing and managing international shipments, including coordinating with freight forwarders, customs agencies and carriers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials
- Write Purchase orders for items purchased in accordance with the American Christmas Purchase Order system guidelines.
- Monitor freight on projects directly related to each project’s needs. Communicate to the appropriate parties all relevant updates.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent overstock or shortages while minimizing costs.
- Ensure procurement activities adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and company policies
- Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers, including pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure purchased products meet quality standards
- Work within budget constraints, seeking cost-saving opportunities and managing expenses effectively
- Stay updated on industry trends and market conditions to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks in the procurement process
- Prepare reports and analysis on procurement activities and cost savings
- Collaborate with design team and account management team to understand their needs and objectives
- Sample Purchases as needed per client
In-Season Responsibilities:
- Purchase materials for installation effectively and responsibly.
- Manage direct freight to clients as is needed.
- Manage distribution process when required by client
What We’re Looking For:
- A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Business, Industrial Engineering, Engineering Business Management, or a related field.
- 5+years of experience in supply chain management, procurement specialist or related field.
- Proficient in computer systems (ERP)
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Strong communication skills in English, written and verbal.
