The Manufacturing planner/scheduler is responsible for preparing production plans for the manufacturing of products based on sales forecasts and plans.
Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Administration or Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 1 - 3 years of experience in Production Planning in a manufacturing environment (preferred in a similar position)
- Knwoledge and strong experience of MRP and ERP systems (SAP)
- Basic general understanding of Kanban
- Basic general understanding of plastic parts
- Prospective applicants should be self-motivated, strong leadership skills, ability to manage multiple priorities, proactive and result oriented.
- Fluent English
Responsibilities:
- Production plan and follow-up on order variations
- Determine production plans vs. line capacity maximizing production efficiency
- Coordinate shipments of finished products to customers
- Follow-up on production orders – customers
- Attention, service, and communication with customers
- Participate in material planning
- Participate in cycle counts and physical inventories when required
- Develop and execute plans/strategies to reduce backorder and inventory and to optimize production efficiency and meet demand fluctuations
- Coordinate and execute validation and transfer strategies to avoid customer impact
- Develop procedures for materials
- Report metrics established by the area, and provide corrective actions for metrics that did not meet the established goal
- Monitor and manage inventory levels of materials to ensure adequate supply of materials and products for the production plan.
- Participate in cycle counts and physical inventories when required
