WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
You’ll be part of a global team within the ENR CoE, currently expanding into the Americas from its original base in India. This role works closely with Bain’s IntersectSM and ENR practice teams to advance product development and support client engagements.
WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM
In this full-time hybrid role, you’ll join Bain’s Energy and Natural Resources (ENR CoE) team—65+ professionals organized across sub-sector specialties—within the Bain Capability Network. This role supports Bain’s IntersectSM team, contributing to case delivery, energy model development and optimization, and broader client development efforts.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
In this role, you’ll be responsible for the formulation and implementation of complex optimization models to address energy transition challenges, leveraging Bain’s IntersectSM platform:
- Case Cracking: Collaborate with practice stakeholders to solve complex, multi-dimensional business problems for Bain’s ENR case teams
- Client Development: Develop client-facing materials and support leadership in pitches; occasional travel may be required
- Product Management: Maintain and enhance the IntersectSM model to reflect evolving market conditions
- Team Oversight: May manage a small team of analysts, including task allocation, review, and feedback discussions
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Interface with primary client contacts (internal and/or external)
ABOUT YOU
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technology, or related field, with 2–5 years of relevant professional experience
- Proficiency in GAMS (General Algebraic Modeling System) and mathematical optimization
- High proficiency in spoken and written English (C1–C2 level), with strong communication skills
- Strong programming skills in Python, R, or similar languages
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and team collaboration skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform under pressure
- A solid understanding of macroeconomics and the ENR sector is a plus
- Willingness to travel regionally within the Americas, if required
