Our MXCF Operations network delivers millions of packages and smiles to Amazon customers every day. We are looking for experienced, strategic leaders to join our team as an Operations Manager at our new Inbound Cross Dock (IXD) - the first of its kind in Mexico. This state-of-the-art facility represents a significant milestone in Amazon's expansion in Latin America, featuring new processes and innovative cross-docking solutions.
As Operations Manager, you will lead and develop a team of Area Managers and their respective departments, overseeing multiple shifts and being responsible for the end-to-end operations of significant portions of the facility. You will drive operational excellence through strategic planning, continuous improvement initiatives, and development of your leadership team while ensuring the highest levels of safety, quality, and performance across operations.

This team will play a crucial role in Amazon's supply chain network, managing the efficient flow of vendor and sellers shipments to multiple Fulfillment Centers across Mexico. We're focused on operational excellence, innovative solutions, and continuous improvement as we establish this key node in our logistics network that will streamline the receiving and distribution process of the inventory products.

- Design and execute site-wide strategic initiatives and process improvements
- Develop comprehensive data-driven action plans impacting entire building operations
- Manage budgets, headcount planning, and resource allocation
- Drive safety, quality, and productivity metrics across all departments
- Implement innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency
- Lead cross-functional projects and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure standardization of processes across operations
- Partner with senior leadership in Safety, Engineering, LP, QA, and HR
- Develop and execute long-term operational strategies
- Create performance management systems driving accountability at all levels
- Lift up to 49 pounds
- Stand/walk extended periods
- Work in variable noise levels and temperatures
- Navigate stairs where applicable

- Lead team meetings to review critical metrics, KPIs, and strategic initiatives across all departments
- Direct multiple Area Managers in shift planning, resource allocation, and operational execution
- Conduct strategic Gemba walks to assess building-wide performance, identify improvement opportunities, and ensure standardization
- Drive high-impact problem-solving sessions addressing complex, cross-functional challenges
- Oversee implementation of major process improvements affecting multiple departments
- Lead quarterly business reviews and strategic planning sessions with senior leadership
- Manage critical projects that impact site-wide operations and network performance
- Collaborate with regional teams on new initiatives and best practice implementation

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
- 3+ years of employee and performance management experience
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
- 3+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience
- English proficiency.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience
- Experience managing a team of 2+ salaried employees and 70+ indirect employees
- Experience scoping, leading, and implementing process improvements through: Lean process, Kaizen, and/or Six Sigma.
- Demonstrated problem solving skills and analytical skills
- Excellent customer service skills, communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Track record of meeting or exceeding department performance goals
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain/Logistics, or a related field.
- Experience in: manufacturing, automotive, biotech, electronics, energy, instrumentation, machinery, aerospace.
