Tasks and Qualifications:
This is what you will do in this role:
To lead and manage a team of Mechanical Engineers focused on executing and maintaining high-quality engineering changes, mechanical designs, and drawing corrections while supporting operations, product sustaining activities, and cross-functional collaboration across a global organization.
Lead and prioritize the execution of engineering changes (ECRs/ECOs) and drawing corrections.
Oversee the accuracy and integrity of 3D models and mechanical drawings.
Support sustaining activities by addressing product issues from manufacturing, quality, and field operations.
Guide the design and development of mechanical and mechatronic components (machined, sheet metal, plastic, extruded).
Conduct and participate in design reviews and technical validations.
Drive process improvements to increase engineering efficiency and reduce lead times.
Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, quality, procurement, and global engineering teams.
Manage a team of mechanical engineers, assigning tasks and supporting professional development.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal engineering guidelines.
Report team performance metrics and support alignment with business goals and project timelines.
What we are looking for:
10+ years of experience in mechanical product development, including several complete product lifecycle cycles.
Proven leadership in managing engineering changes, sustaining support, and cross-functional coordination.
Strong background in CAD (preferably Siemens NX), drawing standards, GD&T, and engineering documentation.
Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in both English and Spanish.
Experience in Agile Product Development is a plus.
Ability to lead remote, global teams and work in fast-paced, multicultural environments.
Willingness to travel up to 10% as needed.
