Position Overview
The primary role of the Demand Planner is to establish and refine an item level demand plan using statistical and analytical tools, intelligence gathering, and internal and external collaboration. The improvement of forecast accuracy and bias metrics are the key business measures used to determine effectiveness and process control.
What you'll do
- Maintain the 18 month demand plan at the component / SKU level.
- Create and Maintain the Planning Bill of Materials for the assigned Product Lines.
- Conduct analysis to determine biggest drivers of MAPE & Bias and root cause analysis.
- Perform the weekly and monthly demand planning activities to support the Product Review & Demand Agreement step of the S&OP Process.
- Monitor and adjust accordingly the customer sku-level demand plan using analytical and statistical tools, intelligence gathering and collaboration.
- Work closely with the Variant Configurator teams and the Data Governance organization to build and maintain a strong data integrity culture with adherence to the rules developed by the new data organization.
- Manage the Independent Component Demand for external customers.
- Collaborate with the PMAT Demand Planners, Buyer/Planners, and NPD Planners to ensure we are working off of the same assumptions.
- Proactively communicate with cross-functional teams to provide updates on new and discontinued items, transitions, and launches.
- All other duties as assigned.
Who you are
- Bachelors/University degree in Supply Chain, Business, or relevant business experience required.
- APICs or other supply chain certification (CSSBB, CPIM, CSP, PMP, CPM, etc.) preferred.
- 1-3 years of Demand Planning or relevant Supply Chain (Planning, analytical assessment, or process management related. ERP/demand planning systems experience preferred.)
- Understanding of Variant Configured products in a make to Order environment preferred.
- Experience in a Consumer goods industry with strong fashion trends and seasonality preferred.
- Understanding of how Bill of Materials and Super BOMs work.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel)
- Demonstrated ability to utilize quantitative and analytical skills to assess business situations and solve problems.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and assignments simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
- Working experience in cross-functional teams.
- Experience in SAP ECC, APO/SCM, BW preferred
