• Position overview: We are looking for two Data Scientists to join the Operations Data Chapter, working in tandem with the crew planning team for a major airline to drive decision-making through ML and causal analysis. The ideal candidates will have strong expertise in machine learning, statistical modeling, and data visualization, with a passion for solving complex operational challenges.
• You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop predictive models and actionable insights that enhance crew scheduling efficiency, reduce operational costs, and improve overall flight reliability.

• Responsibilities: Understand and identify opportunities or challenges in crew planning that can be addressed through data-driven solutions focused on early value delivery
• Use statistical analysis to understand and characterize complex business problems
• Develop machine learning models or similar solutions in an iterative and incremental approach
• Design experiments to validate hypotheses, and apply causal inference techniques to ensure statistically sound results
• Stay up to date with cutting-edge methodologies and actively share knowledge with the broader team

• Requirements: Degree in Engineering, Exact Sciences, Economics, Sociology, or related disciplines
• At least 2 years of experience in data science roles, with a focus on predictive modeling and data-driven decision-making
• Proficiency in Statistics, SQL, and Python
• Bonus if you’re familiar with GCP and Git
• Intermediate English
