JOB SUMMARY
Role and Responsibilities
- Support the implementation and maintenance of cybersecurity controls to ensure compliance with NERC CIP standards across renewable energy assets, including solar, wind, and battery storage systems.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, security monitoring, and log analysis for both IT and OT environments, identifying and escalating potential threats to senior cybersecurity staff.
- Assist in the configuration, deployment, and management of cybersecurity tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), endpoint protection, and asset monitoring platforms.
- Work closely with operations, compliance, and IT teams to collect and maintain evidence for NERC CIP compliance audits, including asset inventories, access controls, and change management documentation.
- Participate in incident response efforts, assisting in investigations, documentation, and post-incident reviews to continuously improve response capabilities and incident playbooks.
- Drive resolution of problems of medium complexity and team-based scope.
- Represent the team in routine communications with clients and within the organization.
- Coach and train newer team members on job specific roles and processes.
- Drive small team improvement initiatives.
Required Qualification & Education
- Familiarity with NERC CIP standards and regulatory requirements for bulk electric system (BES) cybersecurity compliance.
- Hands-on experience with security tools such as SIEM platforms, vulnerability scanners, endpoint protection systems, and network security tools.
- Proven documentation, presentation, and communication skills
- University Degree with 2-4 years of experience in the domain. Masters/Graduate degree and 0-2 years’ experience in domain.

- Ability to analyze logs, alerts, and security events, identifying abnormal activity across IT and OT environments.

Required Software Knowledge
- Expertise in MS Office MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, [Project], [Access], [Publisher]) and Adobe PDF toolsets
- SIEM, Firewalls and Network Security Tools
Preferred Experience
- Familiarity with NERC CIP standards and regulatory requirements for bulk electric system (BES) cybersecurity compliance.
- Hands-on experience with security tools such as SIEM platforms, vulnerability scanners, endpoint protection systems, and network security tools.
- Experience supporting NERC CIP audits and preparing documentation for regulatory reviews.
- Exposure to ICS/OT cybersecurity concepts and technologies used to secure distributed renewable energy infrastructure.
- Experience in customer service
