What is the job about?
This position will contribute to a thriving Customer Sales & Support Center team by providing timely and effective technical advice to the incoming inquiries.
Your main responsibilities:
- Provide technical assistance to Customers regarding the product sizing, applications, system solutions, accessories, installations, prices, etc. assuring the functionality of the solution in practice.
- Follow up on Customer interactions within set SLA.
- Process special orders and inquiries in coordination with the suppliers.
- Support sales teams by handling tenders and projects, include providing dimension, specifications, calculations, time of delivery, operation and maintenance issues, etc.
- Identify business opportunities and handover to external sales
- Ensure customer master data is updated on portfolio of customers under their responsibility.
- Communicate, collaborate, and provide support with the respective product segment or other suppliers, where local problem solving is not available.
Your background
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics preferred) or other technical discipline, or equivalent in a technical role within the pump industry or equivalent field (2 - 3 years of experience)
- Must display a high mechanical and electrical ability.
- Ability to support multiple customer requirements in a fast-paced environment.
- Displays the ability to organize and maintain various files and logs.
- Demonstrates the ability to own customer requests and follow them to completion.
- Capable of communicating to a technical or non-technical audience.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- High customer / client Focus
- Proficient in Application Engineering, capable of assessing technical specifications and developing comprehensive bid proposals for pumps and controls.
- Ability to train Engineers and customers on pumping technology and products
- Effective experience with controls and control systems is valued.
- Excellent written and spoken English
- The ability to operate daily out of the US or Mexico facility in a hybrid function
