Job Summary:
This position ensures parts and materials flow into the manufacturing plants accordingly to ensure production and productivity objectives are met while optimizing systems and processes to maximize the quality of the inventory management and planning. This position works on continuous improvement initiatives around material flow and inventory management with the corporate procurement team.Job Description:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties as assigned):
- Responsible for the accuracy and completeness of all planning data used to drive purchases of raw materials and parts through MRP or Min-Max planning spreadsheets while investigating opportunities for improvements in service, delivery and inventory turns.
- Reviews and management of supplier forecasts for material and part planning. Key communication point with the supplier on forecast and ordering issues/discrepancies.
- Places purchase orders to vendors for materials flowing through the Capital Planning, Design and Construction (CPDC) and other centralized distribution points.
- Supports plants to mitigate emergency outages and eliminate disturbances to flow. Includes regular meetings with the supplier to monitor order status and timing.
- Manages part/material changes to support the corporate commodity team and R&D through Engineering Changes (ECs) and supplier changes as part of the continuous improvement on cost and quality.
- Responsible for managing raw material inventory levels to provide expected service level and meet company inventory metrics
- Supports Product Development, CI and Procurement projects as a core team member and/or SME as required
- Partners with suppliers to achieve improved performance on cost, delivery, and quality
- Provide enhancement suggestions and prioritization for system changes
SCOPE & IMPACT:
This position will manage assigned categories and suppliers. The role is responsible for the inventory turns and forecasting as driven by E1/Min-Max Planning Sheets and the planning data.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree Supply Chain or related field with 4-6 years of relevant experience including
- Microsoft Office Suite
- MRP/ERP experience
- English Advance level
- Up to 25% travel.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
- Master’s Degree
- JD E1 system competency
- Power Bi experience
- APICS CPIM
