DESCRIPTION
Our MXCF Operations network delivers millions of packages and smiles to Amazon customers every day. We are looking for seasoned, customer-focused leaders who want to join our team as an Area Manager at our new Inbound Cross Dock (IXD) - the first of its kind in Mexico. This state-of-the-art facility represents a significant milestone in Amazon's expansion in Latin America, featuring new processes and innovative cross-docking solutions.
In this role, you will lead multiple teams of hourly workforce and will be responsible for developing and coaching other managers while ensuring the highest levels of safety, quality, attendance, and performance across operations. You will drive strategic initiatives and optimize processes while maintaining service level agreements and delivery expectations. Your scope includes ensuring inventory is efficiently processed and distributed from vendors to our Fulfillment Centers (FCs) at the right time and in the right quantities, supporting the broader Amazon fulfillment network and ultimately enabling timely customer deliveries. You will also be responsible for implementing new technologies and processes to enhance operational efficiency.

This team will play a crucial role in Amazon's supply chain network, managing the efficient flow of vendor and sellers shipments to multiple Fulfillment Centers across Mexico. We're focused on operational excellence, innovative solutions, and continuous improvement as we establish this key node in our logistics network that will streamline the receiving and distribution process of the inventory products.

- Lead multiple departments/areas of hourly associates through effective coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
- Drive strategic initiatives and implement innovative solutions to improve operational efficiency across multiple areas/shifts.
- Analyze complex data and metrics to identify trends, develop action plans, and drive continuous improvement projects that impact multiple departments.
- Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promise at a broader scope while ensuring standardization across operations.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with all support teams including Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, Human Resources to develop and execute long-term strategies.
- Create and maintain performance management tools to drive accountability.
- Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
- Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts
- Work in an environment where the noise level varies and can be loud.
- Work in an environment that is subject to variable temperatures and weather.
- Continuously climb and descend stairs.(applies to sites with stairs)

- Lead multiple area huddles to align goals, safety priorities, and operational strategies.
- Conduct Gemba walks across various departments to identify process improvement opportunities and ensure standardization.
- Drive problem-solving sessions to address systemic issues affecting multiple areas.
- Develop and implement process improvements to optimize productivity and quality.
- Lead critical projects that impact multiple operational areas.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
- 2+ years of employee and performance management experience
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
- English Advanced communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience
