We are seeking an experienced individual to lead the Apple Music Business in Mexico and Spanish-Speaking Latin America. We are looking for someone knowledgeable and passionate about music, partner relations, and content strategy. The team’s goal is to be the industry’s best-in-class partner while driving engagement and growth opportunities for Apple Music. This is a fascinating position in a fast-growing region. To strengthen our team, we are searching for an extraordinarily dedicated individual with a background in the music and entertainment industry. We are looking for a leader to help cultivate a stronger and deeper connection with the community of content owners and creators who represent music recordings from Latin America as well as be a strong advocate and leader internally at Apple.

Description

Responsible to build and implement strategic plans that positions Apple as a leader for Music in Latin America. Identify, size, and prioritize new initiatives to drive growth. Build, maintain and expand business relationships with established and developing artists, management agencies and labels. Work cross-functionally and liaise with all elements of Apple Music to identify, develop and deploy key artist and content opportunities. This includes editorial, radio, marketing, PR, production, legal, design, brand experience (original content & events) and international. Encourage the editorial team to craft the best editorial experience possible. Continuously seek to improve and redefine the approach needed to grow the business, while delivering results on all priority projects. Devise strategic partnerships with the Business Development and Apple Music marketing teams, creating plans to drive engagement and increase the subscription funnel. Be responsible for generating increased awareness in all of our partners. Plan artist engagement based on the music strategy and release planning. Secure cross-platform opportunities within the wider Apple ecosystem - Apps, Podcasts, Apple TV+, Retail and more. Collaborate with and influence key partners across Apple Music including global leadership, marketing, Apple Music Radio, Shazam, Classical & more. Maintain outstanding attention to detail and obsess over the customer experience.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in the music industry and deep understanding of the business.
  • 5+ years of experience in a people manager position, developing a team of extraordinary business managers and editors.
  • Experience managing and growing an entertainment content subscription business.
  • A strong understanding of the subscriber life cycle and strategies to optimize for acquisition, engagement, and retention.
  • Proficiency in Spanish and English.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Solid understanding of subscription services commercial dynamics and critical metrics, complemented by strong attention to detail.
  • Deep passion for Apple Music product and features.
  • Extraordinary social and relationship-building interpersonal skills with an ability to engage with a diversity of personalities, industry execs, artists and managers.
  • Experience in strategic business planning to drive subscription engagement and growth.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to balance multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • A proven track record of having led artist-focused creative projects end to end.
  • A passion for the digital content space and entertainment industry.
  • A hands-on attitude with the ability to work collaborative with different functional teams in an international and matrix structure.
  • Outstanding written, communication and presentation skills.
  • Creative and resourceful and know how to think different.
